Instant Fame Photography Blog

It doesn't take a glamorous city backdrop, size zero waist, or designer duds to make a superstar. Sometimes all you need is a little imagination, a wicked sense of humor, and the willingness to let loose for a few hours. A boom box here and a tricycle there never really hurts either! Why be bored with bulky equipment, camera settings, and practiced poses when there's fun to be had? My goal is to capture colorful characters in even more colorful environments. You might say I'm a little color obsessed but, really, who wants to live in a black and white world?

I aim for originality and spunk. It might mean decking you out in elaborate costumes and fantastical make-up or it could be as simple as catching a sly, sideways smile when you least expect it. Life is full of moments to be collected on memory cards, if you ask me. Instant Fame Photography is all about making you the star you've always known yourself to be. And this blog is where you'll first shine. Below you'll find some of my best images from my brightest small town stars. Fame needs fans so don't forget to add your two cents!

October 28, 2008 Seniors

Today I photographed my forth Lincoln County Senior, Morgan Reese.... hopefully just in time for her senior page
to make it in before the yearbook deadline [[fingers crossed... pretty please with cherries on top]]

I must let you know how impressed I am by this senior class! It's not very often that you meet girls this adorable with
the perfect little personalities that match up! Seriously... is modeling a new course at LCHS? I have my suspicions....

As soon as I snapped this image, I knew it was a favorite!

Can you believe this was the very first frame of the day?

Such a commercial model feel in this set, reminds me of a Ralph Lauren ad...

I love cheap-fancy-pink props! I always have random surprises stuffed away in my vehicle!

For some strange reason, Mrs. Lisa claims that she doesn't like photos of herself! I'm ready to change that with this image...

October 24, 2008 Models

A few months ago I was driving around in Buford and came across the cutest Carnival I'd ever seen, right outside the Mall of Georgia. Instead of shopping, I snuck over there to roam around and grab a snow cone! I became obsessed, and automatically knew that I must plan a session there before I went back home. At first I thought about a fun engagement session, but quickly realized that I didn't have any couples booked for at least a month and it would only be there for a few more days. Finally an alarm went off in my head, and I remembered a gorgeous Atlanta Hawk's dancer [model/actress] Destiney Lewis, whom I'd talked to on myspace a while back. She'd always complemented me on the fun colorful commercial images... so I knew she'd fall in love with this location & theme. I contacted her as soon as I got to a computer in hopes that she'd even remember me, and was thrilled when she responded back within a few hours with a green light! :) We talked about the millions of possibilities, and set up to finally meet and do our first shoot together! Of course no one can fully enjoy a carnival alone, so she brought along her favorite teammate/model friend, Jenifer Cope to join in on all the excitement! With only an hour, we managed to have a blast and this was by far one of my favorite sessions of the year!

We made sure we bought some cotton candy!
Jenifer resembles Paris Hilton in these head shots, they turned out so sweet...

Check out the eye make-up I did for the shoot, the colors turned out very vibrant...

Destiney Bleu plans to use the photos as commercial images in her modeling portfolio. I think she's absolutely perfect for any kind of modeling...

haha, yeah... she barely made the height requirement, but I can assure you he'd let her on regardless!
Did I mention, everyone (& their mama) were trailing behind these girls! talk about instant FAME! :)

We just couldn't get enough! We stopped for a few more on our way out...

FUN is definitely an understatement!

We ate dinner afterwards and "strictly" narrowed them down to about one hundred images, so I definitely have more to show off!

October 19, 2008 Children

On July 28, 2007 a star was born who goes by the name of Destiny Fortson.
Since week one, she's been fond of the limelight! Due to the constant flashes from the paparazzi,
she was required a lookout dog named Gucci to check the scene during nap time...

It's obvious that all her protected beauty sleep has paid off in full...

At age one, the glamorous diva enjoys playing dress up, reaching for cellphones, entertaining family & friends, fine dining,
competing in local beauty pageants, and of course throwing huge fiestas with well known celebrity, Dora the Explorer!

Trust me, this is a baby face you don't want to forget!
